If you are a reuse organization looking for more information, please refer to the Electronics Reuse & Refurbishing Program (ERRP): http://www.rqp.ca/

Give Your Electronics a Second Life — Safely and Responsibly

At EPRA, we encourage keeping electronics in use for as long as possible while protecting your personal data and the environment. Before recycling your devices, consider donating or reusing them if they’re still in good working order — it’s one of the best ways to reduce waste and extend their life.

Before you donate:

Always remove any personal information using your device’s secure data-wipe settings or certified software to erase stored data. This protects your privacy and ensures your device is ready for a new home.  We also recommend you ensure the organizations you are donating to are certified to globally recognized recycling standards such as R2: https://sustainableelectronics.org/r2/

When reuse isn’t an option:

Bring your used or end-of-life electronics to an official EPRA drop-off location.  Electronics collected through our program are managed safely — devices are recycled responsibly, materials are recovered and put back into the manufacturing supply chain, and electronics are not sent to landfills.

Together, let’s make electronics reuse and recycling part of everyday life in Canada.
